Fractionation of Palm Oil
Process Description
- Dry Fractionation is designed to segregate edible oil into two components, Olein and Stearin. This process is conducted without the addition of external agents or chemicals.
- The edible oil is preheated for a more uniform homogeneity of the feed thereby eliminating the presence of solid or semi-solid zones. This is followed by Crystallization which allows the feed to be passed through a membrane Filter Press thereby separating solid from liquid.
